Fortuna Police Make Arrests for Imitation Narcotics

Over the weekend, Fortuna police officers responded to a report of subjects stealing mail. Upon arrival, officers contacted two subjects, 27-year-old Summer Kenyon of Crescent City, and 23-year-old Andrew Rulofson of Fortuna. Both subjects were ultimately arrested.

Rulofson was arrested for providing a false name to law enforcement, possession of imitation narcotics with the intent to sell and possession of stolen property.

Rulofson had imitation heroin in his possession that was simply burnt sugar coated with vinegar. He also had imitation methamphetamine which consisted of salt with the intent to sell.

Summer Kenyon was arrested for possession of stolen property.

The recovered stolen mail will be returned to the original recipients.
