On Thursday morning, January 31, just after 8:30 am, the Illinois Valley Fire District responded to a vehicle fire. The vehicle was totally involved in flames and quickly extinguished when units arrived on scene.
The road was closed while firefighters extinguished the fire. The road needed to be hosed off of debris before it was partially opened for approximately half an hour while the Illinois Valley Fire District Fire Marshal investigated the cause of the fire with deputies from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office.
