Led by junior guard Sidney Alexander #11, the Lady Bruins took control of the game within the first four minutes of the first quarter. Alexander evidently had her Wheaties for breakfast as she buried three 3’s in the quarter as sophomore Lexee Murray hit a lay up after a defensive steal and breakaway lay-up and junior guard Avana Pettus got to the line sinking her two free throws. The Lady Bruins led 13-8 at the end of the first period and never looked back.

“I thought the girls played with great energy. We were able to speed them up just out of their comfort zone at times and our defensive effort sustained us when we had cold stretches offensively, which was really nice” Coach Schofield said after the game.
