While you have been enjoying this long holiday weekend, perhaps enjoying extra time with friends and family, or out grabbing some Black Friday deals, CalTrans crews have been working rotating shifts 24/7 to keep our highways open.
For example, this large rock, along with two others about half the size, came down about 4:00 am in the Narrows on Hwy. 199 this morning! It was just small enough for the loader to push it out of the roadway to reopen the lane.
Please drive with extra caution during these winter storms, and be extra cautious if you see flashing amber lights.
