Rural Metro Fire, American Medical Response, and numerous law enforcement units from Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, Grants Pass Department of Public Service and the Oregon State Police converged on the scene of a single vehicle crash.
Rescue crews arrived to find the vehicle against a tree, with the passenger still inside. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to remove the door, extricating the passenger who was transported to Three Rivers with non life-threatening injuries.
The driver denied transport by ambulance and was taken into custody by law enforcement.
There is an ongoing investigation into this incident, and details will be released at a later time by law enforcement.
