On Saturday morning, September 1st, just after 11:30 am, police officers from Grants Pass were dispatched to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived on the scene, a female victim who had been shot and suffered minor injuries was located.
It was quickly determined that the alleged suspect was 32 year old Patrick Hermes. Officers immediately canvassed the area, however, Hermes had already fled the area.
Patrick Hermes is known to law enforcement from prior contacts and incidents involving violence and assaults on officers. An investigation is ongoing and the suspect is still at large and due to his prior behavior should be considered armed and dangerous.
According to a press release from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety the case is still active and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
