Just after 10:30 am Monday morning, units from the Illinois Valley Fire District were dispatched and responded to a reported traffic collision located on O’Brien Rd.
Upon arrival, units found a single vehicle accident involving a red Subaru Sport that had traveled off the road and went over the embankment.
The vehicle went down the embankment approximately 25 feet, hitting a large tree and coming to rest. The driver of the vehicle was extricated and subsequently transported to a local area hospital.
