The Lady Bruins Varsity Volleyball team faced off in a pre-season non-league match up against the Lady Knights of North Valley Thursday night at home in Bruin Arena.
The Lady Knights jumped out to an early lead in the first game and used their size to keep the Lady Bruins off balance.
Head Coach Lorinda Shew told the Wild Coast Compass that “we are struggling since two starters have been out but they should be playing better soon”.
“Serving was greatly improved in this match” the Coach said, and the Lady Bruins sustained long rallies, “but our serve receive errors made it difficult to get an offense going consistently” she went on to say.
These games are pre-season, and coaches use this time to try new strategies and game plans while working on team work and getting the players in game shape physically.
The Lady Bruins will continue their pre-season at home next Tuesday evening, September 4th, against the Illinois Valley Cougars in the Bruin Arena at 6:30pm.
