At approximately 2:00 am Friday morning, July 6th, units from Illinois Valley Fire District responded to a single story Structure Fire on Mesa Verde Dr.
Upon arrival, Illinois Valley Firefighters entered the structure searching as much of the building as possible.
Firefighters brought one female victim out and with American Medical Response performed life-saving procedures including CPR but were unable to resuscitate the patient.
After the fire was knocked down Firefighters completed another more comprehensive search of the entire structure. During this search, a deceased male victim was found.
Illinois Valley Fire District was assisted by Rural Metro, Oregon Department of Forestry, American Medical Response.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the IVFD fire investigator and Oregon State Police fire investigator.
