On Thursday, May 31 at 7:06 am, Illinois Valley Fire District responded to a vehicle fire 3.6 miles West of HWY 199 on Briggs Valley Road.
A Toyota SUV was totally engulfed in flames upon arrival of Illinois Valley Fire District engine 8901. The fire was quickly extinguished by the engine crew.
One of the Districts Water Tenders, 8941, also provided assistance.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. Illinois Valley Fire District was also assisted by US Forestry Service.
