History Classes Host WWII Exhibit at SeaView

This Azalea Festival weekend, Brookings-Harbor High School students will present “In Remembrance of WWII: An exhibition in honor of all who served and their families,” at the SeaView Senior Living Community, 98059 Gerlach Lane, Brookings.

The exhibit will be open to the public from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 26; from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 27; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 28.

This walkthrough Memorial has been built by the history classes at Brookings-Harbor High School, under the direction of Ms. Kelly Garvin, and the displays were printed through the BHHS Career Technical Education program. Many of the photos featured in the exhibit are from local people who were involved in the war. Students will be on hand to answer questions and interact with visitors.

The display will also be available for viewing at Student Achievement Night, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Brookings-Harbor High School.
