Unsettled Weather Begins the Week

Expect unsettled conditions with showers likely for Monday through Wednesday. On Monday we will see a chance for thunderstorms from the Cascades west with the possibility of heavy bursts of precipitation.

Thunderstorms and snow are expected in the mountains above 4000 feet as unsettled weather pushes into southern Oregon and northern California. Storms will also be likely to have gusty winds with them, and hail is also possible.

Cold temperatures from Sunday through Wednesday across the area could be 15 – 20 degrees below average in many areas.

Wednesday night, a ridge of high pressure is expected to push into the area and skies will be clearing out for the end of next week. Valleys west of the Cascades could be seeing 70 to the low 70s once by Friday.
