Late Sunday afternoon, February 2nd, two male subjects were observed on video trespassing by a Coos County Solid Waste employee at the Beaver Hill Disposal Site in Coos Bay, entering a recycling building and stealing a significant amount of cans, bottles, and battery cores at approximately 4:30pm.
Deputies determined that the suspects had escaped through a hole in the fence, carrying several trash bags after initial investigation.

Deputies, with K9 Poe, tracked the suspects’ scent southeast, leading to the discovery of bags of cans and batteries before the tracking continued to Highway 101, where Coos County deputies located the suspects, identified as 40 year old John Langley and 57 year old Darryl Sullivan, in a vehicle full of cans.
Langley initially denied entering the property but later admitted to taking cans from the area. Sullivan confirmed entering the property and taking several bags of cans later determined to be valued at an estimated at $144.
Both were charged with Burglary II, Theft II, and Criminal Trespass II, transported to the Coos County Jail, before being booked and released.
