On Friday morning, October 18th, a red motorcycle driving at a high rate of speed was observed by Coos County Sheriff’s deputies. At approximately 10:00am, the operator of the motorcycle then failed to make signaled turns in the Englewood area of Coos Bay.
The Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop of the motorcycle which fled with the Deputy losing sight of the motorcycle briefly before locating it again at a residence in Coos Bay.
The operator, only identified as “James,” by several people on the property was not present with the bike. Several subjects who live on the property were irate with law enforcement, including 32 year old Robert D. Remsen of Coos Bay who was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
K9 Cena conducted a criminal track for the suspect of the motorcycle leading her to a basement under the primary residence where she located the suspects shoes and motorcycle helmet.
At that time, one of the residence occupants, 30 year old Clayton T. Jensen of Coos Bay physically confronted the Deputies on the K9 track by using his body to block them. Mr. Jensen was taken into custody on the charges hindering prosecution and resisting arrest.
The motorcycle which was involved in the elude was towed from the residence, upsetting several subjects on the property, however, no one knew who the operator was, other than, “James.”
32 year old Robert D. Remsen was transported to the Coos County Jail on the outstanding warrant where he was booked and remains in custody. 30 year old Clayton T. Jensen was released from custody at the location and is being referred to the D.A.’s Office on the charges of Hindering Prosecution and Resisting Arrest.
