North Coos dispatch received a call of an active structure fire in Bandon just before 1:00pm Thursday afternoon, October 3rd, and local fire, Bandon Police and a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy were immediately dispatched to the scene.
It was quickly determined by Bandon Police upon arrival the suspect was still on scene and was subsequently detained for the Coos County Sheriff deputies arson investigation.
Upon further investigation, the suspect, identified as 39 year old Ian A. Ward, was arrested for Arson in the Second Degree and Reckless Burning.
Ward was transported to Coos County Jail where he was booked on the requested charges.
