Coming into Thursdays contest with Glide, now 3-0 in league play, head coach Brian Carlson and the Bruin girls varsity soccer team made quick work of the Lady Wildcats Thursday afternoon.
The Bruin girls attacked from the opening kick, with senior striker #10 and freshman forward, #12, Sawyer Adams both finding the back of the net in the early minutes of the first half.
The Lady Wildcats had no answer for the Bruin girls offense in the first half as the Bruin girls backline defenders quickly pushed Lady Wildcat offensive pushes wide to start the Bruin girls offensive attack.
The Bruin girls controlled mid-field play throughout the game, shutting down passing lanes and quickly getting the to fast breaking forwards who would add 4 more goals starting with another from freshman forward, #12, Sawyer Adams, sophomore, #11 Ellie Hanneman, freshman Claire Pieper, #3, and #23, Kaiya Evans.
Starting the second half with a 6-0 lead, the Lady Wildcats would get on the board relatively early in the half, ultimately scoring twice, however, the Bruin girls would match with two goals of the own to end the game with an 8-2 win
“We’re a young team, nine of our 22 players Freshmen, so our veteran leadership has been instrumental to our development and the team has been improving with each game” head coach Brian Carlson told the Compass after the game. “Today we were able to build an early lead which gave us the opportunity to get everyone some playing time.”

The Bruin girls will be on the road to Cave Junction next Tuesday, to challenge the Lady Cougars with kick-off scheduled for 4:00pm.
