Traffic Stop Yields 2.2 Pounds of Cocaine/Fentanyl

According to a Humboldt County Drug Task Force press release, Humboldt County Drug Task Force Agents served a search warrant on Saturday, June 22nd, with assistance from the Fortuna Police Department, on an individual upon their return to Humboldt County after traveling to to Los Angeles, California.

Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force observed the individual, identified as 28 year old Renee Hernandez Pulido from Eureka, travel from Humboldt County to Los Angeles, California, and conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle upon Pulido’s return to Humboldt County.

During the traffic stop, an open-air sniff was conducted on the vehicle by a Fortuna Police Officer and his K9 partner Cain, who alerted to the vehicle, indicating drugs were present.  

Inside the vehicle, Agents located Renee Hernandez Pulido and 2.2 pounds of cocaine and fentanyl mixture. The 2.2 pounds of cocaine/fentanyl has a street value of approximately $25,000.

Renee Hernandez Pulido was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and booked on multiple charges including, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Transportation of a Controlled Substances for Sales, and Transportation of a Controlled Substance through Non-Contiguous Counties.
