On May 8th, 2024, around 11:40 pm, Very late Wednesday evening, a 911 call was received by Coos County Dispatch regarding an unconscious male in the driver seat of a white pickup truck at a stop light.
When Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived, 44 year old Scotty Jacobi was found sleeping in the driver’s seat at the stop light located at Highway 101 and East Bay Road.
After Mr. Jacobi was awoken and evaluated by Emergency Medical Personnel, it was quickly noted by deputies that signs of intoxication were observed and Mr. Jacobi was evaluated for Driving Under the Influence.
The ensuing investigation resulted in Mr. Jacobi being placed under arrest for DUII. Following standard procedure, Mr. Jacobi was issued a criminal citation for DUII and released to the care of a sober adult.
