Just after 8:00am Tuesday morning, February 13th, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office began receiving several calls regarding a shooting at the Seaport RV Park in Charleston.
Emergency medical personnel and Coos County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched and responded to the scene and upon arrival, first responders located 31 year old Ian Cowan of Charleston, deceased from an apparent gun shot wound.
The Coos County Major Crime Team was activated and late Tuesday morning, 32 year old Alyssia R. Nelson was arrested by authorities and charged with 2nd Degree Murder. Authorities believe that Mr. Cowan and Ms. Nelson were living together at the RV Park.
