At 3:28 pm Illinois Valley Fire Department, American Medical Response and Rural Metro Fire Department responded to a multi-vehicle traffic collision located on Highway 199 at Reeves Creek Road.
Upon arrival, units found 4 vehicle accident with multiple individual sustaining various levels of injury. The first unit on the scene quickly assessed the scene and requested additional personnel for the extrication of a person trapped in one of the vehicles.
Mercy flight was also requested do to the extent of injuries. Mercy 105 responded straight to the incident and transported the patient to a local area hospital. The highway was also shut down for some time while extrication took place and the patient was prepared and transported.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Oregon State Police.
