A 7.2 magnitude earthquake shook the Alaskan Peninsula just before midnight, June 15th, south 55 miles south west of Sand Point, Alaska.
The U.S. Geological Society recorded 7.2 magnitude quake off the Alaskan Peninsula at a depth of 13 miles and a Tsunami was generated by this event.
Tsunami warnings were issued for the coastal areas of South Alaska and the Alaska Peninsula before being canceled after Tsunami no longer posed a threat.
