Significant Weather Change Includes a National Weather Service Heat Advisory Extending to the Coast

A significant temperature increase is forecast for most areas of southern Oregon and northern California, including at the coast with above normal temperatures Friday and into the weekend, and the warmest day is expected to be Sunday.

Inland areas are forecast to see warm weather and clear skies through the weekend, with little overnight relief as temperatures are expected to stay warm into the evening hours. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast with Heat Warning to north. Temperatures in the valley are expected to reach the mid to upper 90’s with lows only getting to the mid to low 60’s.

With Heat Advisories issued for the South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast, Friday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs getting into the mid 80’s in some areas along the coast. Mostly clear skies are forecast for Saturday and continuing into Sunday. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the low to mid 80’s with lows in the mid to high 50’s.
