Officers from the Crescent City California Highway Patrol performed a traffic stop on Lesina Road in Crescent City regarding a reported stolen vehicle out of Brookings, Oregon, Thursday, September 22nd.
During the course of the stop, California Highway Patrol officers requested the help of Crescent City Police Department’s K9, Lieutenant Kai.
Lieutenant Kai alerted officers to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle and during a search of the vehicle, 83.4 grams of suspected heroin, two digital scales, hypodermic needles, suspected methamphetamine and other various paraphernalia were located by officers.
The driver, 44 year old David Henry, was arrested on multiple charges, as well as 32 year old Samantha Ray, and 22 year old Derrick Hatcher.
