Heat and Red Flag Advisories Lifted but Warm Temperatures to Continue

All Heat and Red Flag Advisories issued by the National Weather Service over the past weeks have been lifted after Thursday was much quieter weather wise than forecast, however,  more heat is expected across northern California and southwestern Oregon. An upper level
trough is expected to approach from the west, cooling temperatures slightly late in the weekend.

Hot weather will persist from California northward as an upper-level ridge is forecast to send temperatures into the upper 90’s to low 100s across much of the interior valleys, cooling slightly starting Saturday.

Along the coast, some areas will see temperatures reach the low to mid 70’s as the work week winds down, before an  an upper-level trough pushes on shore Saturday, bringing patchy early morning fog to the coast and mostly cloudy skies Sunday and into Monday cooling afternoon highs to the mid to upper 60’s.
