Red Flag Warnings from the National Weather Service were set to expire across much of central southern Oregon late Thursday evening as high pressure begins to build in the region again, bringing clear skies and warmer temperatures into the weekend.
Warm afternoons and dry weather are forecast to build into the weekend, continuing through Monday. Variable afternoon winds in the valley could get to 20 mph, with the chance for thunderstorms decreasing as moisture circulating from the south moves to the east.
Inland Temperatures are expected to slowly increase into Monday with clear sunny skies raising peak afternoon temperatures to the high 90’s by Sunday. Temperatures along the coast will remain mostly unchanged as marine layer and high cloudiness dominate morning skies, however, clouds are forecast to dissipate starting Friday afternoon, leaving mostly sunny clear skies where high temperatures may increase slightly to the low 70’s in some areas.
