The Illinois Valley Fire District, Oregon Department of Forestry and Rural Metro Fire Rescue were dispatched to reports of a commercial fire which was quickly upgraded to a commercial structure fire on Redwood Hwy 199 in O’Brien, just after 11:30am, late Monday morning, August 1st.
The owners were reportedly preparing to open the business, McGrew’s Restaurant in O’Brien, and noticed smoke in the kitchen area, and initially attempted to control the fire with an extinguisher.
