Clear Skies and Milder Temperatures Forecast for Work Week

The high pressure circulating off the coast of northern California and Oregon that has been bringing very hot temperatures to the southwest continues to circulate weather systems to north as it slowly transits to the east.

The current weather pattern is not forecast to change, however, the extreme heat the area has experience the past few days is expected to change, leaving temperatures relatively cooler comparatively speaking with inland highs reaching only the upper 80’s through much of the work week.

Along the coast, a substantial marine layer has established itself just off-shore, leaving many coast areas under thin cloud cover with localized fog and evening and morning drizzle. Temperatures along coastal areas will be relatively cool with afternoon highs in the low 60’s as the marine layer keeps temperatures from rising, however the early morning fog and drizzle is expected to dissipate as the work week progresses.
