According to a press release from the Medford Police department, 21-year-old Hunter Marlow was arrested for his involvement in a drive-by shooting that occurred at 7:35 pm Monday evening November 20th. Mr. Marlow was just recently released from prison after being convicted for a drive-by shooting in 2014, as was his accomplice, Santiago Loveland who was previously arrested.
As previously reported by the Wild Coast Compass the week of November 20th, two drive-by shootings occurred just days apart, one of them being fatal. The case involving these suspects refers to the non-fatal shooting on Dakota Street in which an occupied home was struck several times, however, no one was hit.
Medford Police arrested Santiago Loveland, one of the shooters that same week with knowledge of a second suspect. This week, after obtaining further evidence to charge Marlow, officials now believe Loveland and Marlow acted together in the shooting.
The other shooting that same week, in which Christian Barajas was killed, remains unsolved and authorities do not believe these suspects are involved in that shooting.
