Unstable Air Mass Continues to Circulate Cold Air and Localized Precipitation Onshore

The low pressure system that has been circulating off the Oregon/Washington coasts is slowly moving to the east, ushering in very cold air from the Gulf of Alaska behind it. Freezing temperatures are forecast through out much of the area with Freeze Warnings issued by the National Weather Service for higher elevations inland from the coast.

This unstable air mass is forecast to continue circulating cold air into the area, creating the possibility of  localized heavy showers with possible small hail as it continues to move onshore and to the east. These weather conditions will persist through Tuesday, with the possibility of slightly warmer temperatures Tuesday morning due to increased cloud cover.
