Coos County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Help Identifying Suspect After Armed Robbery at Bandon Home

Just before 8:40pm, Tuesday evening, April 5th, deputies from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an address in Bandon regarding an armed robbery at the residence.

During the Deputies investigation it was learned that just before 8:20pm, a 6′ tall male described as 200 pounds, wearing a white hard hat, reflective vest, and a black mask, approached the home owner. A similarly dressed individual with a much smaller stature also accompanied the male.

There was an exchange between the homeowner and the unknown male suspect at the door, and as the homeowner attempted to shut the door, the suspect lifted his shirt and pulled out what has been described as a blued .45 automatic, and put it to the head of the homeowner and demanded cash. The victim gave an undisclosed amount to the suspect before the suspect took the home phone to prevent any phone calls, and left the residence.

It was determined the suspects then left the residence on foot, before getting into a vehicle and leaving the scene.

Individuals with any information regarding this incident, or information that might help identify the suspect, is encouraged to contact the Coos County Sheriff’s Office at 541-396-2106.
