Six players from the Gold Beach football team have been selected to participate in post season honors, with five players chosen to the Oregon All State football game June 22nd thru June 25th in Corvallis Oregon, playing their games at a local High School in Corvallis on Saturday June 25th, after staying in college dorms during the week.
Gold Beach High School varsity football head coach, Chris Higgins, told the Wild Coast Compass that he submitted Hudl video of players who he felt could participate and compete with the best athletes in the state to the Oregon all state selection committee, and even though the Panthers play in the 8 man football program, the selection committee chose three Gold Beach sophomores, and two juniors to participate in this years Oregon All State 11 man all star game in June.
Gold Beach senior #13, Trenton Storns has been selected to play in the 8 man all star game in La Grande this coming June, as well as chosen to participate in the prestigious East/West Shrine game as an alternate this coming August.
