Evergreen Bank Decorates with New Bears

Early on Wednesday morning November 29th, eyewitness reports started pouring in that there were Bears in downtown Brookings. Further investigation led to the doorsteps of Evergreen Bank, and it became plainly obvious that yes, there were Bears on a trailer in town.

Evergreen Bank sent these new Bears as part of their annual Christmas Decoration display. The Bears on the trailer are here from Evergreen Banks famous “Bear Hotel” in Grants Pass to relieve the Bears that were currently on display at the bank.
Evergreen Bank periodically changes the works of art bringing freshly restored Bears to display while returning the weather-exposed Bears back home to get some attention from their prospective artist creators.
If you have lived in or visited Brookings in the last few years, you are quite familiar with the Bears. In the past, Evergreen Bank has graciously adorned many locations throughout town with these one-of-kind works of art for extended periods of time, and the Bears are sadly missed when they go home. When not on the streets during the summer season, the bears hibernate at the Bear Hotel as part of Evergreen’s permanent art collection.
The “Bear Hotel” in Grants Pass is a one-of-a-kind, 23,000 square foot facility that is home to Evergreens’s BearFest Bears as well as a variety of interactive art displays. The facility also houses the many giant Nutcrackers and Magical Christmas Murals that Evergreen Bank displays throughout Grants Pass during the Christmas Holiday season.
Evergreens most recent project is called “The Southern Oregon Adventure” and lets visitors experience the beauty of Southern Oregon without ever leaving the Bear Hotel.
If you have never experienced Evergreen Banks Bear Hotel, now is a great time. Evergreen’s Bear Hotel will be open to the public for holiday tours December 18th through the 22nd. These Holiday Tours are free to the public and self guided tours include games. No reservations are required.
The Bear Hotel is located at 2101 NE Spalding Ave., Grants Pass.
