Just after 10:20pm, Sunday night, January 30th, Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a location in White City, regarding a reported fight between two males.
An individual was discovered by deputies, as initial units arrived on scene, walking along Avenue A covered in blood. Upon closer inspection, deputies discovered multiple lacerations on the victim’s abdomen.
Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies applied first aid assistance to the victim’s wounds until Mercy Flights medics arrived and took over life-saving measures. After being transported to a local hospital, the victim underwent surgery, and is reported in stable condition.
It was determined by authorities that during the altercation, a female suspect allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times with a small pocket knife. The suspect, 18 year old Samantha Kay Dietrich, of Eagle Point, is in the Jackson County Jail charged with attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and two counts of second-degree assault.
