Much of the region remains under Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisories as the last front moves to the east with the cold unstable air, before another system moves into the region going into the weekend.
Rain and Snow is forecast to decrease Thursday morning, followed by partly cloudy skies with possible localized showers into Friday with very cold temperatures into the weekend. Low temperatures will be as low as the upper 20’s, with the snow level rising to 3400 feet Thursday afternoon, and up to 5500 feet Saturday. Precipitation is forecast to start again Saturday evening with lows in the low 30’s and highs in the mid 40’s.
On the coast, rain will taper by mid morning as mostly cloudy skies turn to partly cloudy skies as the previous front moves out of the area, ushering in slightly warmer temperatures and another trough of precipitation beginning Saturday. Low temperatures will be in the low 40’s and high’s only reaching the upper 40’s.
