Investigation Identifies Two People in Sunday’s Plane Crash

In the aftermath of Sunday’s plane crash in the parking lot adjacent to Airport Chevrolet, in Medford, December 5th, initial information indicated one person was on board the plane and that they had not survived. It has now been verified that at least one additional individual was onboard, and also did not survive the crash.

Reported communications with the 9 passenger propeller plane moments before the crash, revealed normal contact with air traffic controllers before a reported altitude alarm is heard, and contact with the pilot, identified as 69 year old Donald H. Sefton, of Fallon, Nevada, ceases, moments before the crash.

According to the a Federal Aviation Administration, the aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances into a car dealership and caught fire, killing two people on board, identified as 69 year old Donald H. Sefton the pilot, and 67 year old Valorie J. Serpa, both from Fallon, Nevada.

Injuries to any persons on the ground have not been reported, and investigation into the crash continues.
