A high wind warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the south Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast, to the California boundary, extending into northern California with coastal wind advisories.
The forecast for damaging south winds ahead of low pressure system are forecast Thursday with 35 to 50mph winds with gusts from 60 to 70mph are expected between 10:00am Thursday morning through 10:00am Friday.
These gale to storm force winds will also increase wave run-up prompting into south facing beaches Thursday and Friday making south facing beaches a dangerous place during this time.
