Early Monday evening at approximately 6:30pm the U.S. Coast Guard received a call from the fishing vessel Columbian reporting the vessel disabled off Cape Arago.
A motor lifeboat was immediately dispatched across the bar with steep swell conditions in the main channel and met up with the fishing vessel Columbian.
Once conditions subsided, the Coast Guard motor lifeboat crew safety towed them across the bar. Once inside the bar the crew was able to successfully put the vessel in a side tow and moor them to their dock. No injuries were reported.
