Very early Saturday morning, October 17th, crews from Rural Metro Fire, Grants Pass Department of Public Safety and the Oregon Department of Forestry were dispatched to a fiery crash scene on Lower River Road at approximately 2:00am.
The fire was quickly contained and extinguished containing the spread of the fire to surrounding brush to 1/100th of an acre. Nearby structures were not damaged.
The occupants of the vehicle were not immediately located and thermal imaging equipment was also used to search the area to confirm that no persons were in the surrounding area.
