3 Pounds of Meth Seized in Traffic Stop

On Friday, July 31st, an Oregon State Trooper from the Klamath Falls Area Command stopped a 2007 Chevy Tahoe for following too closely on northbound Highway 97 just after 11:30pm.

During the traffic stop, the Trooper conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle after a positive alert to the odor of controlled substances by a Klamath Falls Police Department Drug Detection K-9. The probable cause search of the vehicle revealed approximately three pounds of methamphetamine and a loaded .45 caliber Glock.

The driver, 28 year old Humberto Jacob McKissack of Spokane, Washington, a convicted felon, was charged with Unlawful Possession and Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance-Schedule IV and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

The passenger, 28 year old Jessica Ortiz, also from Spokane, Washington was charged with Unlawful Possession and Delivery of Methamphetamine.
