On Wednesday, July 8th, the Oregon State Police received information from Signal and Track Inspector Ron West from Albany and Eastern Rail Road regarding an injured American Bald Eagle.
West stated that he believed that the American Bald Eagle was unable to fly after he observed the raptor hop away from him, off the tracks, and into some bushes.
Trooper Rich Culley was closest to the area and located the injured bird before transporting the eagle back to the Albany Area Command office.
After observing that he bird appeared to have an injured wing, OSP Fish & Wildlife Senior Trooper Steve Kenyon made arrangements for the Eagle, affectionately named “Tracks,” to be transferred to Chintimini Wildlife Center for rehabilitation.
