On Thursday afternoon February 20th, at approximately 1:00pm, the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a single vehicle traffic collision on U.S. Highway 101, south of Enderts Beach Road.
The International truck was traveling northbound at that location, when the driver, 78 year old Michael Archie Wilson of San Bernardino, Ca., lost control and left the roadway.
Subsequently, the vehicle overturned, struck a billboard along the southbound shoulder, along with a power pole before coming to rest along the southbound shoulder.
The driver and solo occupant of the vehicle was extricated, sustained major injuries and was transported to Sutter Coast Hospital.
The cause of this collision is still under investigation.
