Early Wednesday morning, January 8th, Caltrans crews responded to a slide on U.S. Route 199 in Del Norte County four miles east of Gasquet just before 5:30am.
CalTrans crews made quick work of the slide, removing an estimated 200 cubic yards of material that had partially blocked a southbound lane. Hwy. 199 was reopened without delays a short time later.
