AZ Lady Bruins Finish 3 Game Homestand

The Azalea middle school Lady Bruins completed a three-game homestand this past Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.

On Tuesday evening, Coquille came to Brookings and took on the AZ Lady Bruins in a contest that Amelia Bruce #10 led all AZ Lady Bruin scorers on the night dropping 6 points and running the AZ Lady Bruin offense off the bench.

On Wednesday night, Redwood rolled into town and the AZ Lady Bruins ran into a tall skilled team that just wouldn’t let the Lady Bruins get into any offensive rhythm.

For the AZ Lady Bruins, this game was played under the basket fighting for rebounds and the Lady Bruin scoring came from #45 Lily Corrigan and #31 Shyla Cooly.

Thursday night brought the Lady’s from Bandon to the AZ Lady Bruins gym floor and proved to be the most talented of the trifecta. Bandon smothered the AZ Lady Bruins on defense and did not allow the Lady Bruins to get their offense started as they put every player on their roster in the scoring column.
