The Coast Guard began searching for an overdue fisherman off the southern Oregon Coast port of Brookings Tuesday.
59 year old Dan VanCleave, left the Brookings marina on Tuesday morning November 12th, and was last seen at 11:00am at the entrance to the Chetco River.
He is believed to be the only person aboard a 16-ft blue Hewescraft.
The latest update from the U.S. Coast Guard just after 11:00pm Tuesday night stated that Coast Guard crew members had located the vessel, the outboard motor was in the down position, not running, but still warm. The search continued for the owner, believed to be in the water at that time.
