We have had great senior leadership starting back with our captains in February, Ethan Hooper, Manny Zamora, Josh Smith and Averi Winn.
Each captain fills different parts of leadership. Manny is vocal one, Josh and Averi are helpers. Ethan is a cerebral guy and is leader by his dedication to the program and his actions.
The rest of the seniors have filled in and really done a nice job helping grow our program. We will have big shoes to fill next year after these guys move on. From the standpoint of being a team guy first, I have no doubt our seniors leaving us will be very successful in Life.
Each one has grown a tremendous amount in our program and we will have a huge hole to fill with them being gone. They are great kids. The future of our football program has benefited from them being in the system.
I have been very lucky as a coach to work with this great group of seniors and I’m proud of the work they have done. Our football program will benefit from them in many ways and for many years down the road.
This week we are preparing for Cascade Christian, focusing on playing 4 quarters of football, with relentless effort. When we get in the red zone, we need to come away with points.
Our defense needs to be solid all game, and make sure their communicating their reads and alignments. The Cascade Christian Challengers have playmakers that can take it the distance at anytime.
It should be exciting game for senior night, both teams coming in at 6-1 with so much on the line. We’re excited about the opportunity to play a very good program in Cascade Christian.
