On Thursday afternoon the Lady Bruins Volleyball team and coach Lorinda Shew made the long bus ride to Grants Pass to take on the 4A-5 Skyline Conference North Valley Knights.
Again the Lady Bruins displayed moments of excellent individual skill as team serving percentage was 90% with 4 aces by sophomore Jo Pryor #10 and 3 by junior Gracie Harms #11.
After struggling in Tuesdays game, senior Cartyr Fitzhugh #6 would lead the team with 13 kills. Junior Gracie Harms #11 had 9 kills herself Both Valerie Tribble and Sierra Fitzhugh each had 6 kills.
Junior #5, Sierra Fitzhugh, also led in digs with 18 and blocking with 4 while junior Shelby Jirsa had 2 blocks and 11 digs.
“Both teams showed tremendous growth in well-played matches.” “We all felt really good about the night’s work” Coach Shew said after the game.
The Lady Bruins will play at home against Del Norte Tuesday night at Bruins Arena at 6:30pm.
