High School Teacher Arrested After Steroids Found on Campus

On March 18, 2019, Coos Bay Police responded to a report of a found bag, believed to contain controlled substances, at Marshfield High School. Officers responded and during the course of the investigation were informed that the suspect was a staff member and the substances were believed to be steroids.

Officers applied for and received a search warrant to search the bag. Inside the bag Officers located and seized multiple vials of suspected controlled substances, pills, syringes, packaging materials addressed to the suspect, and a western union receipt for received materials sent from out of the country.

Several of these items were sent to the Oregon State Police Crime Lab for identification. Three of the substances were identified as Testosterone Enanthate, Oxandrolone, and Methandrostenolone all of which are schedule III controlled substances.

On Tuesday, July 23, officers responded to the home of 40-year-old Jesse Lee Ainsworth, of Coos Bay, who was placed under arrest for three counts of Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance.

Ainsworth was transported and booked at the Coos County Jail.
