The mild weather enjoyed over the weekend, will not last long. Expect a gradual warm up followed by hot weather early next week. A ridge of high pressure over the western US will bring the hottest temperatures of the year to much of the forecast area early this week with the “Chetco Effect” bringing the Harbor, Oregon area highs in the 90’s.

Record or near record high temperatures are expected on Monday and Tuesday for many inland valley locations. Temperatures will exceed 100 in west side valleys as early as Monday… then peak in the lower 100s for western valleys on Tuesday.
Areas east of the Cascades will see temperatures peak near 90 on Tuesday. The forecast high Tuesday is 102 degrees in Medford, and 90 degrees in Klamath Falls.
