Two Arrested on Multitude of Drug and Fraud Charges

On Wednesday, April 04, 2019 at approximately 5:05 pm, North Bend Police Officers responded to Umpqua Bank, located at 2330 Broadway Ave in North Bend. It was reported by bank employees that suspects, later identified as Samuel Senner, 34 YOA of Springfield, OR, and Allyson Thompson, 38 YOA of Kappaa, HI, were attempting to pass a forged check.

Officers arrived and contacted the two suspects. Officers were able to confirm that the check they were attempting to cash was fraudulent and was connected to an earlier report of fraudulent account activity from the legitimate account holders. During a search, a significant amount of methamphetamine was located.

Mr. Senner and Ms. Thompson were placed in custody and transported to the Coos County jail on charges of Forgery, Identity theft, Possession of Methamphetamine and Conspiracy. Coos County Jail subsequently released them on their own recognizance.

Officers followed up, responding to a hotel room at the Super 8 hotel in Coos Bay that was being occupied by the involved suspects. Officers later executed a search warrant to search that room. During the search, further evidence of Counterfeiting, Forgery, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, Identity Theft, Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine were seized.
