Very early morning March 11th, just before 1:00 am, Grants Pass Police Officers were dispatched to a disturbance after a female caller reported her ex-boyfriend had entered her residence and had threatened her previously. During the phone call with 911, a single gunshot was heard by 911 operators.
Officers located the male, identified as 32-year-old Michael Fouch, in the driveway with a single gunshot wound to his groin area.
Officers provided first aid until American Medical Response medics arrived. Fouch’s injury was determined to be non-threatening and he was transported to the Rogue Medical Center.
The investigation revealed Fouch had made prior threats to the victim before arriving at the residence. Fouch forced entry into a bedroom where the victim was hiding with her juvenile son, causing her to fear for their safety. A single gunshot was fired by the victim, striking Fouch and causing him to flee.
After Michael was treated at the Hospital, he was lodged in jail on charges of Assault 4-Felony/Domestic Violence and Menacing/Domestic Violence.
The case currently remains under investigation.
